A 360 degree assessment is also referred to as a Multi-rater appraisal, multi-source assessment or 360 degree profiling. Regardless of what you call it, it is basically a confidential process where a participant receives anonymous skill evaluations from a circle of stakeholders, peers, direct reports, manager(s) even customers and participants also rate themselves. The feedback results determine the participants focus for development.
